The New Audi Q7:  Style, Versatility, and Intelligence That You Can Count On

The full-size premium SUVs of today bring more than formidable looks and cavernous interiors to the table. Safety and convenience is also present, but few can boast about intelligence. The New Audi Q7 however, can-all while checking the crucial boxes like standard all-wheel drive, a hands-free power tail-gate, and voluminous cargo capacity. But the Q7 also brings innovative technology to the table, too, in the form of Virtual Cockpit, adaptive cruise control, and adaptive damping suspension.

Slip Into Something A Little More Versatile, But No Less Sophisticated

  • Excellent Visibility. With standard Xenon plus headlights, LED daytime running lights, and LED tail lights, it's easier to see and be seen.
  • Athletic Form. The high ride height and formidable presence of the Q7 makes a bold statement in any parking lot.
  • Built-in Practicality. A standard power tailgate, available roof rails, and other accessories bring function to the Q7's winning form.

Other premium utilities in the full-size class often look unwieldy, but the Q7 sports a surprisingly sleek design with touches of athletic aggression throughout. The front end is dominated by a large, Singleframe grille and attractive LED daytime running lights that evoke a sense of presence, while strong character lines provide a sporting flair. Not only will it be hard to miss in parking lots, but that winning form also belies function, such as a power tailgate and available roof rails.

A Connected Cabin With Room to Grow

  • Standard Leather. Other automakers make you pay for leather, but the Q7 makes it standard, along with your choice of walnut wood inlays.
  • Spacious and Flexible. With three rows, you can seat up to seven passengers in comfort. When the need comes to haul cargo, however, you can accommodate up to 71.6 cu-ft of gear.
  • Easily Connected. Audi MMI comes standard on the Q7, along with other features that monitor the road and keep you safe.

Customers who opt for a full-size utility demand spaciousness, and that's just what the Q7 has on tap. Although the rear row may be tight for adults, it can easily accommodate kids, and with the rear two rows folded, the Q7 offers 71.6 cu-ft of cargo volume. Upholstery of leather and wood adorns the doors, and dash, and the new MMI interface is easy to use, and offers customization of all your vehicle's functions.

Motivation For Fun, Function, and Confidence

  • A Ride With Quality. Standard quattro all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission bring responsive acceleration and legendary grip on any road, while plush suspension brings comfort, and plenty of fun.
  • 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four. Want efficiency without sacrificing performance? With 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, the four-cylinder option nets better gas mileage without making merging or passing a headache.
  • 3.0-liter supercharged V8. The mighty V6 comes with 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque on tap, good for towing a best-in-class 7,700 lbs., and hitting sixty in a fleet 5.7 seconds. For confidence and a dash of sport, there's little to want for.

Standard this year is a new turbocharged inline-four and quattro all-wheel drive, but if you want the grunt of the supercharged V6, it can be had as an option on every model. Both engines are mated to a Tiptronic eight-speed automatic gearbox, providing quick shifts and impressive acceleration. Drive Select lets you toggle your preferred throttle and steering feel, and also suspension, if you opt for the Adaptive Air Suspension. This system not only makes the Q7 more comfortable, but slices three feet off the turning circle and enables 2.4-inches of ride height adjustment.

Intelligent Practicality That Always Has Your Back

  • Safe At Every Level. Standard Audi pre sense basic and city provide a front line of defense on every Q7 model, while pre sense side assist, rear, and a top view camera bring more peace of mind.
  • Audi Connect and Virtual Cockpit. Available on Premium Plus and standard on the Prestige, these features bring a fully digital instrument display integrated with Google Earth and infotainment functions, as well as 4G LTE WiFi, traffic data, weather, and parking information.
  • A Smart Co-Pilot. Opt for the Driver Assistance package (Premium Plus, Prestige) for adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, traffic sign recognition, and active lane assist.

Well equipped even in its "base" model, the Q7 can be further outfitted with numerous safety and convenience features. Among them are highlights like Virtual Cockpit, Audi Connect with 4G LTE WiFi, and the numerous driver assistance features found on the two highest trims. One area the Q7 truly excels is safety: the Premium trim comes with both pre sense city and basic packages, while more options open up the further up the trim grade you climb.

Audi Q7 Trims

The Q7 is available in three different trim levels, with standard features offered on each that raise the bar for value, and options that will impress. Between the base Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige models, you will find two engines-a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four with 252 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, or a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come standard with quattro all-wheel drive, and the V6 engine can tow up a best-in-class 7,700 lbs.

Premium

  • Standard: Audi pre-sense city and basic, xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights, and LED tail lights, leather seating, panoramic sunroof, power-folding third row, hands-free tailgate, standard ambient LED interior lighting.
  • Optional: Audi Connect with 4G LTE Wifi, MMI Navigation Plus, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, heated steering wheel/rear seats.

The base trim comes loaded with compulsory features, and a choice between both available engines. Competitors may not give you standard leather upholstery, but the Q7 offers such upholstery on every model. A compliment of safety features, excellent front and rear lighting, and Audi MMI round out the basic equipment. If you're looking to make your Q7 more connected, look to the options sheet.

Premium Plus

  • Standard: All standard Premium features, and Audi side assist with rear cross traffic alert, Audi Connect with 4G LTE WiFi, 3D Bose Surround Sound system, MMI Navigation Plus with voice control, advanced LED interior lighting.

In the middle of the Q7 range sits the Premium Plus, which splits the difference nicely between the base and top-shelf model. More safety features, a premium Bose audio system, and color-customizable ambient LED interior lighting are among the highlights. Available amenities include some features usually reserved for the highest trim, including the 360-degree camera, driver assistance features, and more.

Prestige

  • Standard: All standard Premium Plus features, and Audi Virtual Cockpit with heads-up display, 360-degree camera, Bose 3D Sound System, full LED headlights.
  • Optional: Adaptive Chassis package with four-wheel steering and comfort adaptive air suspension, Titanium Black Optics package, Night Vision Assistant, Bang & Olufsen 3D Advanced Sound system, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, active lane assist, traffic sign recognition, heated steering wheel/rear seats, ventilated Valcona leather front/rear seats.

The range-topping Q7 model is the fully-loaded Prestige, which makes the gorgeous 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster standard, alongside a heads-up display, upgraded Bose audio system, and full LED exterior and interior lighting. But this model does more than offer the most demanded features without premiums. The ones that are optional make a world of difference, such as the Adaptive Chassis Package that makes the Q7's ride more comfortable, and a more maneuverable handler in tight confines.
